
The recent 3iAfrica fintech Summit held in Accra, which President Akufo-Addo was present too brought together key players in the Fintech space from across Africa under the theme: “Unleashing Africa’s Fintech and Digital Economic Potential.”

Organized by the Development Bank of Ghana (DGB) in partnership with the Bank of Ghana, the summit aimed to foster investment, innovation, and impactful results in the African digital economy.
During the opening ceremony , President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo emphasized the critical role of financial technology and digital innovation in shaping the global economy.
He urged African leaders to support fintech to stay relevant in world trade and investment, which is essential for sustainable economic benefits.
The President highlighted the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) as a key step toward harnessing the full potential of the digital economy and fintech, projecting that by 2035, the lives of 30 million Africans could improve, lifting them out of poverty and boosting incomes for 68 million people.
Speso is at the forefront of this fintech revolution, providing next-generation payment and services infrastructure for Africa’s 1.4 billion people.
As Speso is a super app, it offers a comprehensive suite of services including messaging, transportation, delivery, and payments.
Speso Users can make local bank transfers, peer-to-peer transfers, create virtual USD cards, buy airtime, data, and pay bills all within the app.

By partnering with third-party services to integrate mini-app versions within Speso, users can access diverse services without downloading multiple apps, further streamlining their digital experience.
